Busification
бусифікація · also бусифікація, Street conscription
Ukrainian slang for TCC staff or police forcibly putting draft-age men into minibuses on the street and taking them to recruitment centres; "bus" is colloquial for minibus.
The ironic neologism emerged during general mobilization; "bus" is Ukrainian slang for a minibus. According to the Ukrainian Wikipedia, the problem became widespread in 2024: after July 16, 2024, men who had not updated their military registration data or had been told to report to a Territorial Centres of Recruitment and Social Support (TCC) could be forcibly taken in if caught at a document check. The neologism dictionary "Myslovo" named it the word of 2024.
Human rights commissioner Lubinets has repeatedly criticized unlawful use of force and restriction of liberty. According to the article, complaints about individual TCC staff rose from 18 in 2022 to 6,127 in 2025. Ukraine's government Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security argues that Russian propaganda deliberately amplifies the term to discredit the TCCs and fuel anti-mobilization sentiment.
The Ukrainian Wikipedia article has carried a neutrality dispute notice since September 2025, particularly over its "Assessments" section.
