An American microblogging and social network, one of the largest in the world; users can add context to posts through Community Notes.

X lets users publish short posts, images and videos, and also offers direct messages, audio and video calls, communities and the built-in Grok chatbot. According to the October 2026 version of English Wikipedia, X is currently owned by an artificial-intelligence subsidiary of SpaceX.

Community Notes lets approved users add context to posts, and other users then vote on whether the note is shown. When French researchers analyzed the October 17 mobilization, they found that X was the only platform where posts opposing it outnumbered posts supporting it.
