A French social-media analysis firm. Before the 17 October protests it analysed, with Visibrain, about 110,000 French-language posts on seven platforms.
According to 20 Minutes, Agoratlas and Visibrain analyzed 109,760 French-language posts on seven social media platforms from October 10 to the afternoon of October 17. The analysis looked only at text, left out some videos, and stopped before the violence on the evening of the protests.
The analysis found that X (formerly Twitter) was the only platform where posts opposing the protests outnumbered supportive ones, and listed large volumes of fake "artificial turf" content (Astroturfing) as one possible explanation.
