France's agency for detecting and countering foreign digital interference, set up in 2021 under the General Secretariat for Defence and National Security (SGDSN).

Viginum was established on July 13, 2021, as a national technical and operational service under the General Secretariat for Defence and National Security (SGDSN), responsible for detecting and countering Foreign digital interference.

After the October mobilization, official French sources told 20 Minutes that "a certain amount" of online traffic came from foreign accounts, but that further analysis was needed to determine whether it amounted to foreign digital interference as defined by Viginum.
